Davidsonville, MD – Charles M. Clusen, former Director of National Parks and a distinguished leader in conservation, has been honored by the Global Directory of Who’s Who for his decades of dedication to protecting America’s natural treasures. Retired from the Natural Resources Defense Council, Mr. Clusen has had a far-reaching career in policy research, Alaska conservation, national parks, and wildlife refuge advocacy. His expertise extends to lobbying, consulting, and publishing works that have contributed significantly to environmental awareness and preservation efforts. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Conservation from the University of Michigan and did postgraduate studies in the same field.

Mr. Clusen’s leadership extends beyond his professional roles, as he is affiliated with Americans for Alaska, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, and currently serves as Chairman of the Board for Protect the Adirondacks. Married for 43 years, he and his wife have one son, two daughters, and seven grandchildren. A true outdoorsman, he enjoys hiking, canoeing, sailing, and bicycling, living the conservation values he has championed throughout his career.
